On June 27, KATSEYE released their 2nd mini album “Beautiful Chaos,” which had already been teased beforehand by the two pre-release singles “Gnarly” and “Gabriela.” Gabriela in particular struck a chord with fans and quickly found success on the charts.

About Gabriela
The single was released on June 20, a week ahead of the album. The clear highlight is the telenovela-style music video, which even features a cameo from Hollywood star Jessica Alba. She plays the CEO of Gabriela Enterprises, who is looking for a successor. The question, then, is: “Who will be the next Gabriela?” Naturally, all six KATSEYE members want the position and end up feuding with each other in the music video.
The lyrics are about the attractive “Gabriela,” who is always in the spotlight and even gets close to a man who is already taken. The others feel threatened and want to keep her away from their boyfriend. Of course, “Gabriela” here doesn’t refer to just one person, but to all six rivals. Each of them feels threatened by the others and is determined to defend her position by any means necessary.
“Gabriela” also reached #30 on Billboard’s Global 200 chart and #24 on the Global Excl. US chart — KATSEYE’s highest placements yet on both rankings. Altogether, “Gabriela” ranks among KATSEYE’s biggest hits of their still-young career!
