“LNGSHOT” is short for the English term “Long Shot”, which figuratively stands for an undertaking with slim chances of success. The name describes the boy group as underdogs who strive for success despite all odds and are willing to take risks to get there. LNGSHOT’s music breaks with typical K-Pop formulas and combines elements of K-Pop, Hip-Hop and R&B.
Come along and learn more about the story of LNGSHOT!
PRE-DEBUT

LNGSHOT is the very first boy group from MORE VISION, the label of American rapper Jay Park. He founded MORE VISION in 2022 and recruited the first members of LNGSHOT, Ohyul & Ryul, that same year. Woojin and Louis joined in 2023, and the four have been training together ever since. In August 2025, LNGSHOT surprisingly performed together with Jay Park at a Hanyang University festival, where they presented the then still unknown song “Saucin”. Before the month was over, all 4 members had been introduced on social media.
In November, LNGSHOT introduced themselves in more detail with the pre-debut mixtape “4SHOBOIZ MIXTAPE”. By August 2026, all 12 tracks together had reached almost 30 million streams on Spotify, and “Next 2 U” by Ohyul and Louis in particular remains hugely popular months after its release.
On December 20, the boy group finally presented “Saucin” as the pre-release single for the debut album “SHOT CALLERS”! Jay Park naturally couldn’t be missing here either: with his appearance in the music video, he supported LNGSHOT on their way to their debut.
On the same day, Ryul, Woojin and the others performed together with Jay Park and artists from H1ghr Music at the 2025 Melon Music Awards.

The debut album “SHOT CALLERS”, including the title track “Moonwalkin”, was released on January 13, 2026.
CAREER
LNGSHOT had made a name for themselves with several performances long before their debut, but their career only really took off with SHOT CALLERS! The debut album sold 48 thousand copies in its first week and charted successfully in numerous international charts, such as Malaysia, Singapore or Taiwan. In Korea, the album even reached No. 3 on the album charts! The tracks were streamed 100 million times within just 2 months, above all the title track “Moonwalkin”. By February 2026, the accompanying music video had been viewed 28 million times on YouTube.
The boy group owes its success not only to its famous producer, but above all to its personal style. From the very beginning, the members were heavily involved in producing their own music and contributed to both the lyrics and the composition. Fans love this, because even in the 5th generation there are only a few K-Pop idols who can claim to write their own music. That is why fans often compare LNGSHOT to the boy group CORTIS, who describe themselves as a “Young Creator Crew”.

In the following weeks, LNGSHOT uploaded two more music videos for the B-side singles “FaceTime” and “Backseat” and were also seen as special guests on the popular rap competition “Show Me the Money 12”. There they shared the stage with Jay Park and Lil Mosh Pit.
A break was out of the question: on March 23, 2026, just two months after their debut, the 2nd mini album “Training Day” was released. It includes the title track “Vanilla Days” and four solo tracks, one from each member of LNGSHOT. In its first week, the new album sold not even half as many copies as its predecessor, but on the charts the boy group reached several top 10 placements with Training Day!
On May 18, LNGSHOT followed up once again with the second mixtape “4SHOBOIZ Vol. 2: 4SHOVILLE”! CEO Jay Park was involved in all 8 tracks as an artist or producer. The mixtape also relied more heavily on rap and hip-hop than the previous projects. MOYA in particular became a hit that surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify two months later, making it already the 8th LNGSHOT song to reach this milestone.

Just a few days after the release of Training Day, the boy group also presented a soundtrack called “Fire With Fire” for the American family comedy “K-POPS!”. The film was already screened at an international film festival in 2024, but only hit theaters in 2026. The official soundtrack consists mainly of songs inspired by the film that were not necessarily heard in the film itself. Besides LNGSHOT, other stars such as Crush, NMIXX, Jay Park, Soyeon, Joshua of SEVENTEEN or G-Dragon can also be heard on the soundtrack!
With that pace, it’s no wonder that LNGSHOT announced a new album called “S.W.I.S.H” in mid-October, which is set to be released on November 10!
