She's back! 7 months after the release of her single “Killing Me”, Chungha is finally announcing a comeback!
There had been rumors about a new album from the solo singer for a while, but since two days ago it's finally official. As of today, you can pre-order “Bare & Rare” in our shop!
Chungha is known for hits like Gotta Go, Stay Tonight, Rollercoaster and Snapping, to name just a few. On February 15, 2021, more than three and a half years after her solo debut, her first full-length album “Querencia” was released, with the title track “Bicycle”.
After that, Chungha released the special single album “Killing Me”, recorded soundtracks and contributed to songs by other artists - most recently to “Color Me” by Junny just a few days ago. Even so, fans have been longing for a new full album ever since Querencia. The dream is coming true! The new album “Bare & Rare” is Chungha's second full-length album, so we're hopefully in for around 20 new songs, just like in Querencia!
As if to reward her fans for their patience, Chungha has been releasing one teaser after another since yesterday!
The 2nd Studio Album Part. 1 ‘Bare & Rare’
First, a schedule appeared on the official Twitter account. Among other things, it tells us that the title track is called “Sparkling”. Of course, we can also see from it when which teasers are coming, all the way up to the album's release on July 11. As announced on the schedule, the singer uploaded a Mood Sampler yesterday, an almost dramatic 37-second video in which Chungha shows herself in different outfits and makes us want more! The biggest teaser, though, is probably Chungha's performance at the Waterbomb Festival over the weekend. There she sang a new song called “California Dreams”, which will be on the new album!
Since today, we also know the details about the physical album:
The choice won't be too difficult, because there is exactly one version. Besides the CD and the photobook, it includes 3 of 10 photocards, one of 3 Polaroids, a transparent card and a folded poster. If you pre-order the album, you'll optionally get a poster as well. So there's no lack of extras!
Since the album is titled “2nd Studio Album Pt. 1”, maybe we can look forward to “Pt. 2” this year? We're excited!
