On July 10, EXO's long-awaited album “EXIST” was finally released, and it can already boast some impressive successes! With the pre-release single “Let Me In”, EXO already topped Billboard's Hot Trending Songs Chart in June, and now the popular boy group is taking several spots at the top of the charts!
Billboard has announced that four of the top 5 songs on the Hot Trending Songs Chart are by EXO!
“Cream Soda”, the title track of EXIST, is in first place.
It is followed by the three B-sides “Love Fool” (2), “No Makeup” (3) and “Private Party” (4). And that's not all: within the top 20 there are three more songs from the album: “Regret” (6), “Another Day” (11) and “Cinderella” (13). So EXO takes up almost half of the top 20!
Besides EXO, the chart also features other K-pop songs such as Seven by Jungkook of BTS, Roller Coaster by NMIXX or Black Clouds by NCT 127.
On top of that, EXO has broken a personal record:
According to the Hanteo Chart, EXO sold more than one million copies of EXIST on the first day after release: 1,074,914
With that, the boy group has broken two records at once: The previous record for albums sold on the first day was 647,101. And the previous record for albums sold in the first week was 902,210 copies. EXO set both in 2021 with DON’T FIGHT THE FEELING.
Now that EXO has surpassed their personal best from an entire week with EXIST in just one day, we are curious to see what numbers EXIST will reach by July 17!
With these numbers, EXO has not only outdone themselves, but is now also among the top 7 male K-pop artists with the highest first-day sales in Hanteo's history!
Seventeen, BTS, Stray Kids, TXT, ZEROBASEONE and Enhypen take the first six places.
The comeback didn't go quite as fans had hoped, because Kai unexpectedly had to enlist in the military on May 11. So unfortunately he is not in the music video for the title track “Cream Soda” either. However, he is part of both pre-release singles (Let Me In & Hear Me Out).
We congratulate EXO on the new records!
Did you know that D.O. now also has a personal Instagram account?

You can finally follow the singer with the deep voice on social media too! The account is only two days old, but already has 1.8 million followers. Are you one of them? You can find D.O.’s account here!
EXO debuted in 2012 with 12 members, of whom nine are left. The Chinese member Lay, however, is only rarely active with the group and focuses on his solo activities in China. Recently, the other EXO members have also concentrated on their solo careers, as they have taken turns completing their military service in recent years.

Xiumin was the first to go into the military in May 2019. By now almost everyone has finished their service, except Kai, who only recently left, and maknae Sehun, who will probably be called up soon as well. So it will take at least two more years until EXO returns as eight again. That is exactly why EXIST has a special meaning for fans.
