Yesterday there was big news from BTS, because the boy group announced that the members will soon be serving their military service. Jin, who will be the first to go, had already announced his first solo album before, which will consist of a single. It is titled “The Astronaut” and as of today you can finally pre-order it from us!
We have summed up the details for you!
There are two versions - 01 (purple) and 02 (green) - which each contain a photo book, a CD, a lyric card, a postcard, a graphic sticker, two of eight possible seal stickers and one of four possible photo cards. For pre-orders there is also a folded poster included!
Fitting the astronaut theme, the covers show dark outer space speckled with stars and an artistic depiction of the solar system with planets and their orbits. The solar system is purple on version 01 and green on version 02. Apart from the cover, the photo books, the CDs, the postcards and the photo cards are also designed differently depending on the version. As you can see, there is a lot of variety. So it is also worth buying both versions if you can't decide!
Only the lyric card and the stickers are the same in both versions.
If you want to get both versions, we have exactly the right thing for you! There is a set version from Weverse. In addition to the two standard versions, it contains a few extra Weverse goodies: 2 Logo Lenticular bookmarks, an unreleased photo card and an acrylic photo frame!
The Astronaut will be released on November 1, so it won't be long until you can hold the album in your hands! Jin couldn't have given us a better farewell gift, could he? There is already a logo trailer on YouTube and new teasers will surely follow soon:
The single, which is called “The Astronaut” just like the album itself, is supposed to be released as early as next week, on October 28. According to rumors, Jin collaborated with the band Coldplay on the song. That is not too far-fetched, since BTS already presented a joint song with Coldplay called “My Universe” last year.
