After 10 years, Bang Yedam has left YG Entertainment!

Nach 10 Jahren hat Bang Yedam YG Entertainment verlassen!

It has been almost 10 months since Bang Yedam left the boy group Treasure. Since then, fans have been wondering what his future will look like and when he will return to the stage. Yesterday, the singer finally spoke out on Instagram and shared some exciting news:

Bang Yedam digital single

Bang Yedam has left YG Entertainment and found a new agency!

In his Instagram post, he thanked his fans for their support and explained that he has joined GF Entertainment. Besides Yedam, the agency currently only has the boy group Kingdom under contract, who debuted in 2020.

This new step could mean that Yedam will return to his fans soon after his long break, most likely as a solo artist.

He has shown his potential to go solo, among other things, with his own digital single “Wayo”, which was released in 2020:

Yedam has also regularly released covers and enchanted us with his beautiful voice. There are surely quite a few fans who wish for an album of their own from the talented singer!

The split from YG Entertainment comes as a surprise, because Yedam had been at home there for 10 years.

In 2012, he took part in the Korean casting show “K-Pop Star Season 2”. Although he was only 10 years old at the time, Yedam impressed the judges - BoA, JYP’s founder J.Y. Park and YG’s founder Yang Hyunsuk - with his singing talent and even made it to the finale! He placed second behind the sibling duo AKMU and signed a contract with YG Entertainment in 2013. Yedam trained there for seven years, until he debuted in August 2020 in the twelve-member boy group Treasure.

We wish Yedam lots of success in his new home and hope to hear from him again soon!
