Dreamcatcher released merchandise packages called Dreamlantis in September and announced the Season’s Greetings for 2024 less than two weeks ago. These fan items are like a gift for fans of the girl group, but we have been especially eager to see a comeback from Dreamcatcher. After all, there is nothing better than new music from our favorite idols, right?
The wait is over, because starting today you can pre-order the ninth mini album “VillainS”!
If you have taken a look at Dreamcatcher’s social media channels over the past few days, this is no big surprise. Siyeon, Handong and the rest of the group already released a schedule on Halloween announcing that the pre-order phase for VillainS starts today. It will be released on November 22.
A few hours ago, the girl group also revealed details about the different versions available: four standard versions and one Limited Edition.
VillainS is the first Dreamcatcher album to come in four different standard versions! Usually, the girl group releases two to three different standard versions and one Limited Edition.
Do you already know which version you are going to get? Here we introduce all the versions in detail to help you make your decision:
The four standard versions are called “U”, “R”, “S” and “E”.
The covers differ greatly from one another; each one shows a different mysterious image: hands in handcuffs, a dartboard, a hand covering the eyes of a statue, or an ornate crown. Which image appeals to you the most?
Each version includes a 44-page photobook, a CD with sleeve, a two-piece postcard set and of course a few photocards! Every album contains two of 28 possible photocards. If you order the album before the release on November 22, you will also get one of seven possible fold-out posters!
The Limited Edition is especially exciting, because it contains much more:
The photobook alone makes it clear that this is a special version. It has 164 pages, almost four times as many as the photobooks in the standard versions!
The thick photobook is complemented by a sticker, a large postcard set, one of seven OOTD cards and three of 28 photocards. The postcard set consists of seven cards, presumably one for each Dreamcatcher member.
Here, too, it is worth pre-ordering the album, because then you will also get one of seven fold-out posters. The posters from the Limited Edition are printed on both sides though, so you get two different designs at once!
VillainS is Dreamcatcher’s second and probably last album of 2023.
The girl group last celebrated a comeback in May with the mini album “Apocalypse: From Us”. It was a special success, because with the title song “BONVOYAGE” Dreamcatcher won two music show trophies! That does not sound like much, but with that the girl group has only won four music show trophies in total!
Many fans still remember the first win, because it is not that long ago. In fact, Dreamcatcher only won their first music show trophy more than five years after their debut, on April 20, 2022. They owe this milestone to the album “Apocalypse: Save Us” and the title song “MAISON”. A few days later, the song brought the girl group another win.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that Dreamcatcher will celebrate success with “VillainS” as well!
